This recording took place on February 26,2004 at Kelly’s Logan House in Wilmington, Delaware. This was the third (and so far last) year that a show of the same name was produced by Matt Urban to benefit the Delaware Sierra Club. This was my second time performing at the Music Never Stopped, having helped organize and put together CDs for the first one (MNS Year 1: CD1, CD2, CD3).

I am not sure of every artist who participated in this because I didn’t help organize this particular year. I have the Flyer (designed by Matt Urban) which lists some of the artists. I also know some others because I reached out to various artists that I knew were excellent improv performers (Sgt. Scrapes, Jerry Lehane, Adrian Rosario, Lee Eschliman). Looking back, a big regret is not asking Richard Brown to come onstage. He was there taking pictures.

Anyway, I will add more information as I get it. I am going to email Matt Urban to try to get more info on the evening.

In the meantime… ENJOY!!!

Back in the late 90’s I had a lot of my music on the original MP3.com. One of the cool services MP3.com offered at the time was the ability to create and sell your own physical CDs. These CDs came with a standalone flash player for computer playback, as well as the ability to be played in any standard standalone CD player. They were called D.A.M. CDs (for Digital Automatic Music).

This post is a collection of layered improv freakout songs that was “put out” as a D.A.M. CD back in 1998 or 1999. I have posted a zip file of the D.A.M. CD – just download the zip and burn it to a CD to step back in time and have a D.A.M. experience. The album artwork for some reason is not in the D.A.M. files, but this artwork was the printed cover.

From March 30 to April 1, 2001 a bunch of dudes got together in the basement of 140 Possum Hollow Road in Newark to freak out and record; a 3-day music party experiment. This post is the end result – or at least the first part of the end result; there are still many hours to be mixed down. This recording session was conceived by myself and Tom Dougherty, hosted by Kevin Thomas, engineered by Sgt. Scrapes and me, and then mixed down by Sgt. Scrapes and me. Enjoy!

This is the third and final part of a three part series featuring the he various artists of The Music Never Stopped, an improvisational music event that took place on January 17, 2002 to benefit the Delaware Sierra Club’s Sustainability Project. This project was put together by Matt Urban, and I was on the project team. CD Artwork was by Jessica Bratton and myself, all photos by Jessica.

Yep… this one has the same album cover as my previous post… although this one is actually the original. This recording is an improvisational night of jamming at Kelly’s Logan House in Wilmington, DE on January 17, 2002. The project was conceived by Matt Urban, and I helped to organize it, as well as putting together the CD artwork with the help of Jessica Bratton (who took all of the event photos). The event and sales of the CD were all for charity, to benefit the Delaware Sierra Club’s Sustainability Project.

These tracks were recorded in 2002 – some at Tom Dougherty’s place in Elkton, some at the Astrocade, but all around the same time and with the same people. For the most part, I am singing and playing keyboards, Tom is playing guitar, Jeff Green is playing drums, and Bill Degnan is playing bass. Vocals on Servants to Slaves and photographs provided by Jessica Bratton.
