This recording took place on February 26,2004 at Kelly’s Logan House in Wilmington, Delaware. This was the third (and so far last) year that a show of the same name was produced by Matt Urban to benefit the Delaware Sierra Club. This was my second time performing at the Music Never Stopped, having helped organize and put together CDs for the first one (MNS Year 1: CD1, CD2, CD3).

I am not sure of every artist who participated in this because I didn’t help organize this particular year. I have the Flyer (designed by Matt Urban) which lists some of the artists. I also know some others because I reached out to various artists that I knew were excellent improv performers (Sgt. Scrapes, Jerry Lehane, Adrian Rosario, Lee Eschliman). Looking back, a big regret is not asking Richard Brown to come onstage. He was there taking pictures.

Anyway, I will add more information as I get it. I am going to email Matt Urban to try to get more info on the evening.

In the meantime… ENJOY!!!

This live recorded freakout dates way back to 1996… Recorded on 2 Radio Shack PZM Microphones in the basement of 1021 Blair Court in Newark, DE. Jeremy Tuschack (who was the drummer in a cool band called Nero) came over one Saturday to freak out with Sgt. Scrapes & me. Please enjoy the chaos that ensued…

From March 30 to April 1, 2001 a bunch of dudes got together in the basement of 140 Possum Hollow Road in Newark to freak out and record; a 3-day music party experiment. This post is the end result – or at least the first part of the end result; there are still many hours to be mixed down. This recording session was conceived by myself and Tom Dougherty, hosted by Kevin Thomas, engineered by Sgt. Scrapes and me, and then mixed down by Sgt. Scrapes and me. Enjoy!

Recorded on March 30 – April 1, 2001

This improvisational jam was performed at my 30th birthday party. At the time, I lived in a huge warehouse space called The Astrocade, and I invited various musicians that I knew to come over to perform & party. I honestly can’t remember who is doing what on which recordings, but Sgt. Scrapes did quite a bit of work to help me set up (thanks again), I know Lee is playing drums on at least the first recording, I know Adrian was there… it’s all a bit foggy honestly. Anyway, enjoy the ham… I mean jam…

10/26/2007 from Lee – “I remember pretty well… I was playing drums, Jay and Sgt. Scrapes were doing vocals and effects, Michael Miller and Peter Schroeck were playing guitar and Steve Funk came in on bass… It felt like a Karma Canon Jam.”
