The Electric Subconscious with Jerry Lehane

MP3s:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

Back in the late 90’s I had a lot of my music on the original MP3.com. One of the cool services MP3.com offered at the time was the ability to create and sell your own physical CDs. These CDs came with a standalone flash player for computer playback, as well as the ability to be played in any standard standalone CD player. They were called D.A.M. CDs (for Digital Automatic Music).

This post is a collection of layered improv freakout songs that was “put out” as a D.A.M. CD back in 1998 or 1999. I have posted a zip file of the D.A.M. CD – just download the zip and burn it to a CD to step back in time and have a D.A.M. experience. The album artwork for some reason is not in the D.A.M. files, but this artwork was the printed cover.

In 1998 I started playing with a band called La La Does Jesus. They had put out an album, but were looking for a new direction in sound. I joined up with them and played mostly keyboards and some guitar. The pinnacle of our time together culminated in the seven hundred twenty degrees of phasing album. The recording posted here is the very first time we ever played all together at Leif’s Grandmother’s garage in Delaware waaaaaayyyy back on April 19, 1998. Enjoy!
